I have major gaps in my employment history.
Most people put their education section after their career history, usually near the end of the resume. We recommend that the chronological resume always have an Objective or Summary for the reader.
Why leave that gap in there? My preference is for a nice, centered design, right there at the top. Sections Vertical lines, different fonts, and pops of color are commonly used to highlight sections.
These would be given precedence over the career history. Remember, in this reverse chronology of your career history, hopefully each successive job will show you taking on more responsibilities and getting bigger, better results.

Very clear and descriptive, the qualifications summary is great if you are applying for a job that asks for a very specific set of skills.
He had represented that he could do a certain thing, solve a certain problem for the company. If you are a returning client, I do updates to documents I wrote as listed above. Not one resume in a hundred follows the principles that stir the interest of prospective employers. Try several different font sizes and go with what feels best.
Skills, Accomplishments, even Core Competencies. Even your Career Highlights.
Make this be regular sized text. As I said earlier in this guidethat is perfectly fine. My one caveat here is if volunteering helps you flesh out an otherwise thin resume or helps fill in a gap in your work history.
Go with a Summary paragraph of sentences. That is a hard and fast rule of mine. While these tactics may get your resume some attention, it could be just a head shake and a delete.
